Administration of Cadet College Razmak, Pakistan

Administration
Board of Governors
Cadet College Razmak is run by a Board Of Governors (BOG) chaired by the Governor of Khyber-PukhtoonKhwa. The College administration is headed by a Principal who also serves as the Secretary to BOG. The BOG makes the strategic policy decisions and is the forum for approval of the College’s budget, infrastructure expansion plans and major system modifications.
College Administration
The college administration includes:
Ø      Principal
The Principal is traditionally appointed from outside the college staff (although there are recent exceptions to this rule).
He takes strategic policy guidelines from the BOG but is otherwise independent in running the college administration and day-to-day affairs.
Ø      Vice Principal
The Vice Principal is essentially from within the teaching staff; often the senior-most teacher.
He assists the Principal on internal college affairs especially academics, cadets selection and staff recruitment.
Ø      Director of Studies
The Director Of Studies (DOS) is essentially a senior member of the teaching staff of the College.
DOS is a very important appointment in Cadet College Razmak as he looks after all academic affairs. He prepares and manages the schemes of studies, examination schedules, assessments and results. He also liaises with the BISE Bannu authorities on matters related to Board exams and results of cadets.
Ø      Bursar
Bursar is basically the Accounts Officer of Cadet College Razmak.
He manages all the financial and accounts-related matters of the college. This includes Student fees, salaries of teachers and other staff etc.
He also prepares the college budget estimates, keeps track of the budget allocations and disbursements and keeps the Principal and BOG updated about the financial affairs of the college
Ø      Adjutant
The Adjutant is an in-service officer (essentially a Captain) from Pakistan Army.
He looks after the matters related to physical training (PT / Drill / Sports etc) of the cadets. He is also responsible for the disciplinary matters of cadets. He also recommends the appointments of the House Commanders and College Commander.
He manages his job through a team of 5-6 serving NCOs deputed from Pakistan Army.
Alongside the Pak Army team, there is also, at times, a Pakistan Navy team consisting of an in-service Naval Officer (Lieutenant) and a couple of Navy NCOs.
Ø      Messing Officer
The Messing Officer is essentially a member of the teaching staff.
The Messing officer’s is a very important, tough (and at times THANKLESS) job because he has to manage the affairs of the Cadets’ Dining Mess. Ensuring a high standard of the food given to about 500 cadets, keeping in mind the financial limitations and balancing the two amicably, is quite a task.
Ø      College Doctor
The College Doctor is a registered MBBS Doctor.
He is incharge of the college dispensary and manages the routine medical matters of the cadets, staff and their wards. Serious cases, however, are referred to the F.C Camp Hospital in Upper Camp or, if necessary, to AHQ Hospital Miranshah or even beyond.
He performs his work with the support of paramedic staff.
Ø      Librarian
The Librarian is essentially a qualified professional of Library sciences field.
He looks after the affairs of the well supplied college library. The college library has thousands of books on various subjects and receives a number of daily newspapers, journals and periodicals regularly.
Ø      House Masters / Assistant House Masters
House masters / Assistant House Masters are essentially members of the teaching staff.
Together, they manage the affairs of their respective boarding houses. They remain present in the house premises during Prep timings and offer guidance to the cadets in academic and personal matters and / or problems. They also manage the boarding house’s funds and the pocket moneys of cadets. They also plan for and guide their house’s cadets in the various Inter-house competitions (sports etc).
Ø      College Commander
The College Commander is essentially the best cadet of Class 12th selected after a thorough assessment of cadets of class 12th. `
He assists the college authorities in managing the cadets’ affairs and leads the cadets in morning assembly and parades etc. He also oversees the disciplinary affairs of cadets.
Ø      Adm Staff
The adm staff include Imams and Khadims of the college mosques, the Malis, Barbers, Dhobis, Naib-Qasids, cooks, waiters, electricians, plumbers etc. All these people perform their respective duties in aid of the college administration and to facilitate the cadets.
