Cadet College Razmak is a military boarding school in the scenic Razmak valley of North Waziristan Agency, Pakistan. Established in 1978, the college admits Cadets (students) in Class 7th after written/IQ tests, interviews and medical fitness tests. They are imparted physical training (sans weapons) by military trainers in addition to routine education. Razmian alumni are found in every walk of life; the principal profession chosen being Armed Forces.

Selection / Induction of Cadets

Thousands of aspiring students apply for admission in Cadet College Razmak each year. However, a thorough selection procedure is adopted for enrolling a batch of just 75 something most eligible candidates as students or Cadets in Class 7th.

Eligibility Criteria

Gender – Male

Religion – Any

Education – The candidate should be studying in Class 6th in a registered school. Candidates who have just passed Class 6th and are studying in Class 7th are eligible too.

Age – 11-1/2 Years to 13-1/2 Years

Domicile – The candidate should have a valid domicile of the agency / F.R / Province against whose quota he is applying. In case of F.C wards, a certificate to the effect from the F.C authorities must also be produced.

Admission Tests

Advertisement for Admission – Advertisements for CCR entrance tests are given in newspapers (especially Daily Mashriq Peshawar) around August-October every year.
Prospectus – Prospectus is available each year in September~November from Principal Office CCR. It is also available at several locations in different cities like Peshawar, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Quetta, Gilgit, Mardan, Swat, Kohat, Lakki Marwat etc.

Written tests – Written test are conducted simultaneously at a number of centers set up in cities of Peshawar, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Quetta, Gilgit. The tests consist of (mostly objective type) questions in the subjects of English, Mathematics and Islamiat/Urdu. The results of the written tests are advertised in newspapers (especially Daily Mashriq, Peshawar) and the successful candidates are also notified by post.

Interviews – Candidates short-listed on the basis of written tests are interviewed by boards consisting of the college’s teachers at centers in Peshawar and other cities. During the interview, the candidates also take IQ tests and psychological tests.

Medical Fitness tests – Side by side with the interview, the short-listed candidates are also checked by a medical doctor for general medical / physical fitness. A candidate failing in the medical fitness test, although otherwise cleared by the interview board, is rejected.

Seats Distribution

Admission to Cadet College Razmak is, for the most part, on quota basis. The seats distribution is as under.

FATA (Agencies & F.Rs) – Almost 70% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the various agencies and F.Rs of FATA. Within FATA, 5~6 seats are reserved for each agency and 2 seats for each F.R. So the total number of FATA seats reaches 50.

Frontier Corps – 10 seats are reserved for wards of F.C (Frontier Corps) personnel.

Khyber PukhtoonKhwa – 10 seats are reserved for candidates from the settled districts of the Khyber PukhtoonKhwa province. Within KPK, the seats are distributed on open-merit.

Balochistan – 4 seats are reserved for candidates from Balochistan.

Gilgit Baltistan – 4 seats are reserved for candidates from Gilgit Baltistan.

Azad Kashmir – 2 seats are reserved for candidates from Azad Kashmir.

Staff Wards – Wards of College staff are eligible for admission in the college.
